Student answer (Band 5.0)
University is a place where someone get experties in its choosing subject. Starting from undergradute courses to Phd, there is a continuous chance of learning new skills. Some undergradute courses are practical based and others are theory based.
Practical fields including healthcare, engineering and natural sciences etc require paractical and professional experience. Practical can be learned at unviversity but professional experience can be get through doing work at professional space like in industry or firms etc. On the other hand, some subjects only require theory base work like languistics. One can become master in its field by doing a job but this option is only available to course completed students.
Universities also offer internships or placement during degree or usually in last semester that is no doubt a great step. Also some offer a study period to outstanding student in abroad at top world ranked universities. During this period, students gain skills in their subject at professional level. Besides this, they also get how know about environment of professional area, management skills and work load management skill. Some universities not give their students a chance of placement or internship in third world country that is actually not fair. They made point that they may grt divert from studies.
So, placement has many benefits than disadvantages that is nothing as compared to advantages. Students who got chance for abraod studies besides professional knowledge may get cultral knowledge and other other who got in his own country

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position that placements have more benefits than drawbacks and give relevant points, including professional experience, subject skills, management, and cultural knowledge. However, the response only partially addresses the question: it does not clearly compare the disadvantages with the advantages, and the concern that students may be distracted from their studies is mentioned but not explained. The discussion of studying abroad is also less developed than the points about work placements, and the final sentence is incomplete, so the conclusion does not fully clarify your reasoning. The response is also six words below the required minimum. Develop both sides with specific examples and finish with a complete, direct conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces university study, the middle paragraphs discuss practical experience and placements, and linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Besides this,” and “So” show attempts to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first paragraph’s distinction between practical and theory-based subjects is not clearly tied to the question, and the discussion shifts between placements, overseas study, and university policies without a clear structure. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly “Some universities not give their students a chance…” and the unfinished final sentence. Use focused paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and make each paragraph’s main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “internships,” “placement,” “professional experience,” “management skills,” and “world ranked universities.” This gives the response a minimally adequate vocabulary for discussing the topic. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “experties,” “paractical,” “get how know,” and “cultural knowledge” in the incomplete final thought. Repetition of “skills,” “students,” and “professional” also limits precision. Check spelling carefully and learn common academic collocations, such as “gain practical experience” and “complete a work placement.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including contrast with “On the other hand” and a relative clause in “students who got chance.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “someone get,” incorrect verb forms in “professional experience can be get” and “Some universities not give,” and missing or incorrect articles and plurals in “a chance of placement.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly where ideas run together and in the unfinished final sentence. Practise accurate present-tense statements and past participles, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
