All university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Most of the universities offer the courses related to particular descipline in which a student is studying.however some courses are offerd as a minor subject. But as far as a matter of fact , a number of universities are not having an eye on including the courses that help out for studying abroad or to get a significant place in any work place.
In my openion, adding up a subject regarding this has many pros. There could be some corns to it. In my perspective it should be compulsery to add up a subject for one's carrier building.
By keeping a sight on its advantages we can conclude that it will broad up the vision of the students. It will make them conident. They will be able to gain the experience of happenings. Students will be capable of learning the ways for having their future goals in foreign. They will be able to know about the workspace of any organization.
I would like to give an example. I did my masters in computer science from china. They offered me a course on " Public Workholder". By reading this subject i am able to work in a largest company named "Sapphire" because this course helped me a lot while giving interview and later in adjustment with the colleagues.
To sum up, I will definately on the point where i would like to request the curriculum developers to introduce such courses in the course outline. It will surely help the juveniles to look forward.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear preference for making relevant study or work experience compulsory, and the example of your computer-science course in China helps show how practical learning could support employment. However, the response only partially addresses the comparison in the question: you mention that there may be disadvantages (“There could be some corns to it”) but do not explain any, so the claim that advantages outweigh them is not fully argued. The benefits are also listed rather than developed; for example, “broad up the vision” and becoming confident need explanation of how studying abroad or a placement produces these outcomes. Clarify the position in the introduction and develop at least one advantage and one disadvantage with specific reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs, an example, and a concluding paragraph, so there is some organisation. The personal example is placed after the general benefits and is relevant to the discussion. However, progression is not consistently clear: the opening focuses on minor subjects and universities’ course offerings, then shifts to the proposal without a clear link. The paragraph beginning “By keeping a sight on its advantages” presents several claims in sequence but does not explain how they connect. Linking phrases such as “To sum up” help signal the conclusion, but transitions are limited or awkward, and references such as “this” and “it” can be unclear. Organise the essay around the comparison of benefits and drawbacks, using one focused paragraph for each.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary related to education and employment, including “work placement,” “curriculum developers,” “experience,” and “colleagues,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “a significant place in any work place,” “some corns,” and “look forward.” Spelling errors, including “descipline,” “openion,” and “compulsery,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases rather than translating expressions directly: for example, describe gaining practical experience or developing workplace skills. Check spelling carefully and use vocabulary that directly expresses the task’s ideas about overseas study and work placements.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly simple statements and make some attempts at longer structures, such as “By keeping a sight on its advantages we can conclude that it will…” and “because this course helped me…”. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “some courses are offerd,” “a number of universities are not having,” and “I will definately on the point,” where verb forms or sentence construction are faulty. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and capitalisation, as in “studying.however,” and inconsistent use of articles and prepositions. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine ideas using controlled clauses such as “because” or “although.”
