Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent times, many well-known universities are planning to introduce extra opportunities for bachelor degree students, such as offering to study abroad or providing internships and work experience for a period of time. However, this idea could encourage students to do hardwork, and, follow extra career path along with studies. In my view, I personally agree with the idea because it has impactfull advantage with fewer disavantage, which I will discuss in the below paragraph.
Nowadays, many colleges are thinking to implement this idea, that is because, it is one of the way to get recognize college nation-wide, and at the same time, students can take benefits from it. For example, last year IIT bombay provided 6 month free internship for few students who had good results, and around 30 scholars went to MIT (Usa) for joint studies. The course was divided into two different sections, the first three months studying on a particular subject, and rest three months as a intern to build a ground experience. As a result, the idea became blockbuster for the university, because all of the thirty students did remarkable performance and upon that bases, they secured permement jobs in abroad companies. , Thus, many universities are thinking to include this type of facility in courses.
On the other hand, there is a big disadvantage for some students. The reason is a budget, students need to arrange travel and stay expenses on their own. However, university only covers free education. As a result, a lot of middle class student miss these types of opportunities as because they cannot afford the expense.
To conclude, I strongly believe that, this idea is beneficial for students if university started providing this. In addition, in my view, it could be a good if university can help students who cannot afford the expenses. Overall, its great idea if implemented structuredly

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support including overseas study or work placements, while recognising that costs can exclude some students. The response addresses both the benefits and a disadvantage, and the IIT Bombay example gives the main benefit some concrete support. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits paragraph focuses heavily on one university example and its employment outcomes, without explaining in enough detail how these experiences generally improve students’ learning or career prospects. The financial disadvantage is relevant but brief, and the conclusion does not fully weigh it against the benefits. To strengthen the response, develop both sides more evenly and explain why the advantages outweigh the access and affordability concerns you identify.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a benefits paragraph, a paragraph beginning “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “For example,” “As a result,” and “To conclude.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: “However” in the introduction does not clearly contrast with the preceding idea, and the sequence around “As a result” and “Thus” repeats the same consequence. The benefits paragraph also contains several stages of the example in one long block, while the conclusion introduces support for students’ costs without developing it earlier. Use clearer links between claims and evidence, and organise each paragraph around one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “internships,” “joint studies,” “career path,” and “expenses,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “ground experience” and “remarkable performance.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the writing sound unnatural: “impactfull advantage,” “disavantage,” “blockbuster,” and “secured permement jobs” are examples. Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “take benefits from it.” Aim for accurate, natural academic combinations rather than informal or translated-sounding expressions. Proofreading spelling and choosing precise terms for outcomes and opportunities would make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “students who had good results” and a conditional idea in the conclusion. Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “one of the way” needs a plural noun, and “a intern” uses the wrong article. The sentence beginning “The course was divided” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence, while “if university started providing this” has an unclear subject and verb form. Commas are also sometimes placed incorrectly, as in “I strongly believe that, this idea.” Practise complete sentence structures and check articles, plurals, and clause boundaries.
