Student answer (Band 6.0)
Every Universitie's Bachelor course should include a internship time or specified time where they have to study in different countries. In my preference advantages outweigh the disadvantages because by getting for public and industry exposure students will be able to learn better and get to know the applications of their programs.
Undergraduate students should spent specific period of time studying abroad. When students move abroad for their studies , they will get to know about their program that how it is studied across the world, how other students make notes for their prepration. Also, they will get to meet other local students , this way they will have international friends that can help them in various way of studying. In addition, this communication with the people will help them develop more and more confidence in their life. The students will know to use different techniques to apply to their courses that they have learned from their international teacher and classmates.
Doing a workplacement is also beneficiary for them. When students have their summer break they can apply for interships or part time jobs which should be relevant to their field of study. By sitting in actual market they will learn how their programs are used in real life, what are their applications and most necessary is how they have to develop their skill set according to the job they will get. Students can also find their section where they are most interested and work on that specific part.
In conclusion, Every university should include a specific time period where students will study abroad to get more public exposure and thoughts on their subects, and also for work placements so they can actually see real life applications of their courses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you discuss both study abroad and work placements. The points about learning from international classmates, building confidence, and seeing how academic knowledge is used in employment are relevant. However, the response mainly lists benefits and does not explain what the disadvantages might be or why the benefits outweigh them. Some ideas also need fuller development: for example, “international friends” are said to help with studying, but no specific example explains how. To strengthen the response, address at least one drawback, such as cost or disruption to studies, and compare it directly with the benefits before concluding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs on studying abroad and work placements, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “In addition” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. The two central benefits are also grouped appropriately. To make the organisation more effective, develop the comparison promised by the question: a paragraph acknowledging disadvantages would give the argument a more balanced progression. Some connections are repetitive or unclear, particularly the repeated references to “students” and the sequence of questions about how programs are studied and applied. Use clearer referencing and link each example explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “work placements,” “applications,” “skill set,” and “international.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main ideas, though several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make the expression less precise. For example, “sitting in actual market” is not a natural way to describe workplace experience, and “beneficiary” does not fit the intended meaning of beneficial. There are also misspellings such as “Universitie's,” “prepration,” and “subects.” Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise phrases would make your points clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures such as “When students move abroad for their studies…” and “so they can actually see real life applications.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For instance, “students should spent” should be “students should spend,” while “Every university should include a specific time period where students will study abroad” has an awkward relative clause. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, especially around commas and sentence boundaries. Practise accurate modal-verb patterns and review each sentence for a clear subject and verb before adding further clauses.
