Student answer (Band 5.0)

Really,a specific period of time should include to all universities undergraduate courses because it can inhance experience of students about field.I think that idea has more advantages than disadvantages.

Fistly it could inhace the abilities of students relevent to their field,if students a sort of time diring studing spent in abroad for sudy then he could get more experience and also explore world. If a undergrate student only study on his university and don't get involve in practical field then he needs an extra effort to get an experience after his degree ended. For example a undergraduate student spent some time in doing work relevent to field, he would elegible easily to get a job in his field after his degree completed, without wasting any time.Student can explore his field around world which changes are there in his country to other countries.

There is no drawbacks of this brillient idea,it has more advantages, but some people think that if a student spent a period of time studing abroad then more cost is needed. In underdevoulped countries such as Pakistan, there is no facilities are available.

Students could gain more information and sreve their contry. In conclousion, government should take action on it n because it is the future of students, and provide these apportunities to undergraduate students. In this way citizenc

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you identify relevant benefits: practical experience, improved job prospects and exposure to other countries. The example of a student gaining work experience before graduating helps connect the idea to employment. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the benefits are asserted more than explained, and the disadvantage of cost is mentioned but not explored or weighed against the benefits. The point about limited facilities in developing countries is also unclear. The response is 38 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your argument. Explain how placements benefit different students and suggest how cost or access could be addressed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you state your position at the beginning, present benefits, acknowledge a possible disadvantage, and finish with a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression is not consistently clear. The benefits and the claim that students can “explore his field around world” are joined without explaining their relationship, while the cost and facilities points appear abruptly and are not developed. Several ideas are crowded into one paragraph, and the final sentence is incomplete, so the conclusion does not fully bring the argument together. Use separate paragraphs for the main benefits, disadvantages and conclusion, and connect each point with clear explanation rather than relying mainly on basic signposts.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “practical field,” “experience,” “undergraduate students,” and “job,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make the writing harder to follow, for example “inhance,” “relevent,” “brillient,” and “apportunities.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “a specific period of time should include to all universities undergraduate courses” and “there is no facilities are available.” Repetition of “experience,” “students,” and “field” further restricts the range. Work on accurate topic vocabulary and natural collocations, and check spelling carefully; this will help you express your ideas more precisely without changing their meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer conditional sentences, such as “if students … spent in abroad … then he could get more experience,” showing an effort to express cause and effect. However, the range remains limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction occur in “a specific period of time should include,” “if a student spent a period of time,” and “after his degree ended.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and plurals, as in “a undergraduate student” and “there is no facilities.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, and the final sentence is unfinished. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense consistency, articles and singular/plural agreement.
