Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days in this global village only theoretical knowledge can not leads you to good apportunity there should be some what level of experience require for better future. University's should include study abroad time or work placement in their undergraduate program. I firmly belive that thay have to include this, the following essay will discuss the reasons for this.

In this world where practical knowledge is more important than theoretical information education systems have also face the need of better dilivering of the education. If the student is only studying the local subject they are not able to compite on the global level, in order to counter this problem university's are including study abroad plan in their curriculum. As an example Gujrat technological university hase introduce the stream in which student who are willing to studying in diploma can change their country foe the last 2 semester this is around 1 year. That hase many advantages like student who are comming back from this plan are have higher level of knowledge that theother student also they are tend to be more mature than before.

Furthermore, there is also another way in which student can be more intelligent in their course, that is work placement program. In this type of incusion students are becoming more industial ready. This will help them to select the future they are intersted. The best example for this is GTU they have introduce the mandatory internship assessment in which student have to work in the companys for at least 3 month. Moreover, their result for that semester is also based on this.

In conclusion, i think there are far more advantages of this kind of addition in the couse than disadvantages. Government should introduce more courses like this to support fresh minds.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the central question and maintain a clear position: you believe study-abroad periods and work placements bring more advantages than disadvantages. The two main reasons—broader practical knowledge and greater workplace readiness—are relevant, and the examples involving GTU help make the discussion specific. However, the disadvantages are not considered, even briefly, so the comparison implied by “outweigh” is not fully explored. Some claims also need fuller explanation: for instance, you say returning students are more mature and knowledgeable, but do not explain how this benefits their studies or future employment. Develop both sides and connect each example more explicitly to why the benefits exceed the costs or challenges.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate benefits, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “As an example,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression, and the two examples are placed alongside the relevant points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, several links are mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “that has many advantages” does not identify the plan precisely, while “the other student” is difficult to interpret. Improve progression by using clearer topic sentences and linking each example directly to the claim it supports; a paragraph acknowledging disadvantages would also make the argument more balanced.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “theoretical knowledge,” “curriculum,” “work placement,” “mandatory internship,” and “global level.” These choices show an attempt to discuss education and employment rather than relying entirely on basic language. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “good apportunity,” “industial ready,” “dilivering of the education,” and “change their country.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “more intelligent in their course.” Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully; precise wording will help communicate your ideas without requiring the reader to infer your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional and relative structures, as in “If the student is only studying the local subject…” and “in which student have to work…”. This gives the response some structural variety. However, control is inconsistent: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur across the essay. For example, “knowledge can not leads” needs a corrected verb form, and “education systems have also face” has an incorrect verb construction. The sentence beginning “That hase many advantages” also has unclear grammatical links between its clauses. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences where several ideas are joined. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to follow.
