Student answer (Band 5.0)
I strongly believe that undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement. I agree with both the options both has the different benefits.
Because both the Options are important as an student while visiting & spending time& in abroad with study makes us to learn many things to get explore with different New things to learn, as there's huge different in india & abroad study according to the rules & regulations and the system of education are too different as per my knowledge & experience most of my friends have being to abroad for higher studies there work life & study both are balanced, also they are enjoying the advanced technology of learning & multiple things to explore.
Also, i prefer with the option of work placement which usually save the times in india multiples university visits colleges to hire people for placement as an intern it basically depends on luck as well some of students get selected some have to appear for next time.
The disadvantage of work placement is people doesnt get better opportunity to explore the world the placement can be in Normal pvt ltd company or in MNC totally depends on the perfomance of students as well the universities.
Furthermore, 60% if ill get the chance to move with abroad ill go for that in less time less cost if unversity is giving opportunity to go ill choose the same once you will able to explore more the more you will get to now the world culture & system & you have the option to work smartly actively .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position in favour of including an overseas study or work-placement period, and you give relevant points about exposure to different education systems, technology, and employment opportunities. However, the task asks whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and this comparison is not clearly made. The disadvantages are only briefly mentioned, while the final paragraph returns to your personal preference rather than weighing both sides. Several ideas, such as how placements improve students’ prospects, are asserted but not explained with a specific example or clear outcome. To strengthen the response, state explicitly which side outweighs the other, then develop two or three relevant reasons and support them with concrete examples. The response meets the stated length requirement; 16 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some paragraphing, and the response moves from overseas study to work placements and then to a disadvantage, so the reader can identify the main topics. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the second paragraph combines several points in one long sentence, and the final paragraph shifts between a personal choice, cost, opportunity, culture, and work skills without clear links. Connectors such as “Because,” “Also,” and “Furthermore” are used mechanically or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. References such as “both the options” and “the same” are also unclear. Give each paragraph one main purpose, use shorter sentences to separate supporting points, and make the comparison between advantages and disadvantages explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “work placement,” “higher studies,” “rules & regulations,” and “advanced technology,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or vague, sometimes making the intended meaning hard to follow. For example, “get explore with different New things” and “get to now the world culture” do not express the ideas naturally, while “Normal pvt ltd company” is imprecise for an academic essay. Spelling and word-form errors such as “perfomance” and “unversity” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing educational benefits and employment, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentences and gives reasons using clauses, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “I agree with both the options both has the different benefits,” where the sentence structure and subject–verb agreement are faulty, and “most of my friends have being to abroad,” which has an incorrect verb form and preposition pattern. Articles and plurals are also unreliable, as in “as an student,” and punctuation is often missing, especially in the long sentence beginning “Because both the Options are important.” Use a reliable mix of short, complete sentences and carefully built complex sentences. Check agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
