Student answer (Band 5.0)
The new development in education system gives a chance to the students to make their careers better. There should be some options provided by all the universities to their learners for specific period of time. Whether they spent their time in studying abroad or choose another path related to their paticular field to make money. I firmly believe that studying abroad is a good approach because the students from different countries getting more familiar with overseas learners. After persuing their education, students can get better jobs instead of working at an undesirable workplace.
On the one hand, studing in abroad countries is not easy for students especially for those who come from poor backgrounds. This is because more people who coming from impoverished communities are more eager to persue their eduaction in other countries. Sometimes, the students do not get permission from their families to access the undergraduate courses by universities. This can seriously spoil their mind. This can lead to lack interest in paticular field. For example, in Pakistan, thousands of learners going to work because they do not have much money for university programs.
On the other hand, the students who avail the advantage of the opportunities offered by different universities are able to stand out in society. They get familiar with other nations. It has greater impact on their studies and such students are highly demanded by many abroad companies where they liive. For instance, Europe offers highly paid jobs to the students all over the world to become a part for their economical growth.
In conclusion, universities should not only enhance their undergraduate courses, but also increase the duration of time for the better intellectual growth of students. I personally think, this is more benefitial for students to engage with different nation and promote harmony.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a relevant position in favour of international study, especially in the opening and conclusion, and you include examples such as students from Pakistan and employment opportunities in Europe. However, the task asks whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and this comparison is not made clearly or consistently. The disadvantages paragraph focuses mainly on poverty and family permission, while the benefits are described broadly as becoming familiar with other nations and finding jobs. The work-placement option is also not meaningfully discussed. To strengthen the response, state explicitly which side outweighs the other and explain how the benefits compare with the costs, using specific, developed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the broad contrast between disadvantages and advantages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the point about family permission and its effect on students’ minds is not fully connected to the main argument, and the Pakistan example does not clearly illustrate the stated disadvantage of studying abroad. Repeated references to “students” and “different nations” also make the links feel mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its claim, and make the final comparison explicit in the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “undergraduate courses,” “impoverished communities,” “stand out in society,” and “intellectual growth.” This gives you a basic range for discussing education and employment. However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “paticular,” “persuing,” “studing,” and “benefitial.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “studying in abroad countries,” “access the undergraduate courses,” and “become a part for their economical growth.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise language would help you explain the costs and benefits rather than relying on broad claims about familiarity and better jobs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a relative clause in “the students who avail the advantage…”. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “the students from different countries getting more familiar” lacks a finite verb, while “more people who coming” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “thousands of learners going to work” and “Whether they spent their time…,” which is left as a fragment. Practise complete clauses, consistent verb forms, and accurate subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for a clear main verb.
