Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, studying abroad widely increasing among the students globally. each and every university undergraduate courses must including a specific time for spend studying international country otherwise gives opportunity to do work placement. it has several advantages rather than disadvantages and i will explain and give my personal view in further paragraphs.
One the one hand, having facility of study with work placement, it can very beneficial for every pupils. Such as, students can easily survive there without any difficulties, because they have enough time for complete every subjects as well as increased job experience for the future and goal. Moreover, study abroad has number of issues such as home sickness, language barrier and financially. In addition. the major role is financial, due to availability of work placement it support to grope for easily survive there comfortably and they can focus on courses better.
On the other hand, the biggest disadvantage is that student can miss their focus on academic and following only income side. it create bad impact on university and courses can run long time for completing bachelor rather than on time. Due to this, number of students live there and lead to other negative side. for example, many new students are trying to go study abroad but due to over population in university, they can miss the chance to go there and missed dream.
In a summary, if university should provide facility for students, who can received specific time for study or doing job placement, it has both advantages and disadvantages. However, university should apply this system with some basic rules, and this reasons every students try to complete their education as well as increase essential experience in specific field.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question by presenting both benefits and drawbacks, and your conclusion supports introducing the opportunity with rules. Relevant points include work placement helping students manage financial pressures and gain experience, while employment could distract them from academic study. However, the position is not consistently clear: the introduction says the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but the conclusion mainly says the system should be applied with rules. Several ideas are also under-developed or unclear. For example, the claim that placements help students “survive there” needs a specific explanation, and the point about overcrowding and students missing their chance is not clearly connected to the proposed requirement. State your view directly and explain each main reason with a concrete example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting sides, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “In a summary” help signal the broad direction of the essay. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, financial difficulties, work placement, and focusing on courses are linked without fully explaining how one leads to the next. The second paragraph shifts from academic distraction to longer degree completion and then to university overpopulation. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one central point at a time, and make references such as “this” and “they” explicit so readers can follow the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work placement,” “language barrier,” “financial,” “academic,” and “experience.” These terms allow the reader to identify the main subject and some of the issues involved. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to interpret. For instance, “studying abroad widely increasing” and “grope for easily survive” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “following only income side” is unclear. There are also spelling and form problems, such as “home sickness” and “over population.” Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing costs, employment, academic focus, and international study, and check that each phrase fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to use both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “each and every university undergraduate courses must including,” “it support,” and “student can miss their focus.” Some sentences are difficult to understand because several grammatical problems occur together, as in “if university should provide facility for students, who can received specific time.” Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and using modal verbs correctly, then build longer sentences from those reliable structures. Check sentence boundaries and capitalisation during proofreading.
