Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, stating that practical experience and international study can improve students’ skills and employment prospects. These points are relevant, but the response addresses the question only partially: the disadvantages are not identified or explained, and the benefits are mostly asserted rather than supported with specific examples. The final paragraph also ends mid-sentence, so the argument is incomplete. In addition, the response contains 203 words, below the required 250, which limits how fully you can develop your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain at least one disadvantage, compare it directly with the benefits, and support your claims with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening gives a position, followed by discussion of work experience and then study abroad. However, progression is difficult to follow because the ideas are not developed into complete, clearly separated paragraphs, and the final point stops abruptly at “increase their learning skills an”. Some linking expressions, such as “However,” “Due to which,” and “So,” are used, but their connections are sometimes unclear or repetitive. For example, the shift from practical experience to unemployment and then financial stress needs clearer explanation. Use a clear introduction, one paragraph for each main advantage, and a conclusion that directly answers the question; connect each claim to its explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “practical experience,” “theoretical knowledge,” “unemployment,” and “financial stress,” so the reader can identify your main subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “undergraduated syllabus,” “parctical field,” and “definetly cinsidered.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “studying on international level” and “give them different experiences.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “undergraduate programmes,” “gain workplace experience,” and “international study” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words such as “different” and “help.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “when a student gets a time interval … then it helped them.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “he do not have practical experience” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “when he got a time period … then he gets” shifts inconsistently between past and present. Several sentence fragments also appear, including “Due to which, when he goes in practical field…” and “Because, this will also help him…”. Practise building complete sentences with consistent tense and clear clause connections, then proofread for agreement and punctuation.
