Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this fast paced era, people believe that university who offer undergraduate program might include the time for the scholars to learning something new related to their field in abroad or give chance to do internship for gaining experience and valuable knowledge. I partially believe that it have many advantages compare to disadvantages.
On the one hand, learning through internship or abroad studies give many positive development in scholar life. Firstly, having a abroad journey regarding studies give new learning and opportunities related to their field. Scholar see and learn new methods and tricks used to solve particular task and gain knowledge of new equipment and technology used in their field. Secondly having work placement or internship during undergraduate programs often gives a advantage to the students for instance, in some fields like mining and construction mainly depends on theory and experience, so learning with viewing the theory used in the field often solve the concept easily like how machinery operates and how this structure is more suitable in this environment.
On other hand, giving a time to learn from new place often varies with some disadvantages also, firstly many university offers this time to learn something new, but it give burden on scholar like many university are not allocate funds to the students to learn from abroad tour or through internship which gives burden on students because many students cant afford this type tours or internship. Secondly, allocating time for new learning in short particular courses build up pressure on students, because they have to complete vast syllabus in short period of time with having tour or internship. For instance, many university having three year undergraduate course but having internship or learning tour to abroad often extended the course duration.
To sum up, I believe that having tour or internship is good option for students to wider their knowledge and learning, but it might be negative point when they have support themselves financially.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear, though qualified, position: you believe the benefits are substantial, while recognising financial and course-duration drawbacks. The examples about mining and construction help explain how practical experience can connect theory with real work. However, the response does not fully resolve the key comparison of whether advantages outweigh disadvantages: the conclusion calls placements a “good option” but does not clearly weigh them against the costs and pressure discussed. Some points also need fuller explanation, particularly how studying abroad benefits students beyond exposure to new methods. Make the comparison explicit and develop each main reason with a specific consequence or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a concluding summary. The progression within each body paragraph is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On other hand,” and “To sum up” make the organisation clear. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some stronger control through paragraphing and a logical sequence of points. However, the linking can feel mechanical, with “Firstly” and “Secondly” repeatedly carrying the argument, and some references are unclear, such as “this time” and “it” in the disadvantages paragraph. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make references to the relevant course, placement, or study period explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “internship,” “work placement,” “equipment,” “technology,” and “syllabus.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “machinery operates” and “course duration.” However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise expressions, including “new learning,” “give burden,” and “having tour,” and several word combinations sound unnatural. These choices sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Build a bank of accurate collocations for education and employment, and check word forms and spelling. For example, use “place a financial burden on students” rather than “give burden,” and “broaden their knowledge” rather than “wider their knowledge.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and examples introduced by “for instance.” This allows you to explain causes and illustrate points, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur across many sentences. Examples include “university who offer,” “it have many advantages,” and “many university offers,” where agreement and sentence structure need correction. Articles and verb forms are also problematic in phrases such as “a abroad journey” and “students cant afford.” Some longer sentences, particularly the mining and construction example, become difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, then review complex sentences for clarity.
