Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days undergraduate students have complaining about less opportunities related to there courses they chose. To overcome this problem all unniversities needs to includes some semesters to spent for abroad study or for work placement. In my opinion by doing this it has lots of advantages which includes exposure to new methodology, inter-coountry communication and check the new innovations across the baorders. Disadvatge is just declined in opportuinity for host country which i discuss later.

When a students chose any drgree or program he must worried about the scope and this issue is circulate in their minds. If tudents have interest in the course which has very little scope or they unsure about future opportuniity than they do not chose that course. Resultantly, they unlikely to chose other courses. This results in the lack of innovation and lack of developments of field expert perons due to limited resoursces and opportunities. This has been resolve if all universities include 1 to 2 semesters delicate to study abroad or may be for work placement. The universities must communicate and good relation with foreign country universities to delicate some quota in their univerisities. This will strongly polish students creativity. Students will able to interact with professors with differnt style of methodology. They will see the inooavtive ideas by pursing in that university. By this they new ides have been leant.

Moreover, by doing work they will able to find the scope of there studies and their direction will become smoth. The only challange universites will face is related declined in the opportunity for own contry for acomodating new studdents from other contries. But this challange is not problematic because universites just needs to increase their students and clasroom capacity.

In conclusion i must say there are lots of advantages of including some time and work for abroad. This will help both country students to see new methodology and inovative ideas. The students crtical thinking and seeing apectrum has also increased.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you identify relevant benefits: exposure to different teaching methods, international communication and new ideas, as well as gaining a clearer sense of career prospects through placements. The discussion of the disadvantage—reduced opportunities for local students—is also relevant. However, the task is only partly developed: the disadvantage is dismissed quickly by suggesting universities simply increase capacity, without explaining the practical or financial difficulty this could involve. Some benefits, such as “lack of innovation” and improved creativity, are asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop each main point with a clear explanation or example, and make the comparison between benefits and costs more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally move from the problem of limited course prospects to the benefits of overseas study or placements, and then to a disadvantage. Linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal this progression. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes unclear, particularly where the discussion shifts from course choice to university quotas and then to creativity. Phrases such as “This results in” and “By this” do not always make the relationship between ideas precise, and “which I discuss later” is an awkward signpost. Use clearer topic sentences and make each sentence’s link to the paragraph’s main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work placement,” “methodology,” “scope,” “innovation” and “critical thinking.” This gives you some useful range, but control is limited: frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word forms or collocations sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. For example, “inter-coountry communication,” “declined in opportuinity” and “seeing apectrum” are difficult to interpret, while “polish students creativity” is not a natural collocation. Some key terms, such as “new ideas” and “advantages,” are also repeated. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships; choose precise expressions such as “develop students’ creativity” and “broaden their perspective” rather than translating phrases literally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If students have interest…” and a relative clause in “the course which has very little scope.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction occur throughout. Examples include “all universities needs to includes,” “When a students chose,” and “The students crtical thinking … has also increased.” These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and consistent tense. More reliable control of these basics will make your ideas clearer.
