Student answer (Band 5.5)

Universities much encourage undegraduate courses by effording going abroad or doing a work placement for a certain period of time. This process have its advantages but it might effect its drawbacks as well. This essay will discuss both views and my opinion as well.

Giving university students the chance to study abroad or to have a work experience it so helpful, for students it will enhance their level of study as they will be anquined to a new environment and a new program. also by encouraging this action, it will benefit the student to be determine about the next step in his life. not only this but it will also evolve his chances at workplace.Morover, the work experience will primarly expand his knowledge in a certain field and help him to get promotion. For instance, many people move to Europe in order to enhance their abilities and implement them in their countries.

On the other hand, some see that this can lead to some negativity. as they migh believe that this decision may increase the budget to cover the expenses. Which eventually is challenging despite its advantages.as well as, leaving the country for good. as that country offers more apportunities.

To conclude,In my opinion despite the disadvantages of this case helping students to study abroad is beneficial to insure their future and orient them, as it is important to have a successful generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question and give a clear preference for the benefits, especially in the conclusion, where you say overseas study can help students “insure their future and orient them.” Relevant benefits include adapting to a new environment, clarifying career plans and gaining work experience. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The disadvantages are even less developed: higher expenses and the possibility of “leaving the country for good” are mentioned, but their effects are not explained. The response also falls short of the required 250 words. Develop each main point with a reason or example, and make the comparison behind your view explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. This makes the main direction understandable. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some linking is mechanical or unclear. For example, “not only this but it will also” and “as well as” do not connect the ideas smoothly, while “Which eventually is challenging” is an incomplete follow-on sentence. The conclusion repeats the general position without drawing together the comparison. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each supporting explanation directly to its main point, and check that linking expressions join complete, logically related clauses.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “work placement,” “environment,” “expenses” and “promotion.” These choices show some awareness of the topic, but the range is limited and several inaccurate spellings or word choices make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “effording,” “anquined,” “determine,” “evolve his chances,” and “apportunities.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “enhance their level of study” and “implement them in their countries.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more ambitious wording: for instance, students can “adapt to a new environment,” “improve their career prospects,” and “apply their skills.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “as they will be…” and “not only this but it will also…”. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence formation and agreement occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “This process have” should use a singular verb, and “Giving university students the chance … it so helpful” has an unclear sentence structure. Several fragments also appear, such as “Which eventually is challenging” and “as that country offers more opportunities.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, clause boundaries and sentence openings during revision.
