Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify relevant potential benefits, including practical skills, career development, personal growth and greater opportunities, and you also mention costs and travel as disadvantages. However, the response does not clearly answer the central question: it never states whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Several points are difficult to interpret or remain undeveloped, such as “CERTIFICATE can give a good impact on your documents” and the claim that some subjects have “no opportunities.” The discussion therefore addresses the task only partially, rather than presenting a supported comparison. The response is also 61 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to explain examples and develop your position. State your view directly, then support each main point with a clear explanation or relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organisation: the opening introduces the topic, the next section lists possible benefits, and the final section turns to disadvantages. Simple linking expressions such as “Through” and “And” show attempts to connect ideas. However, the response does not develop a clear overall progression or use distinct, well-formed paragraphs. Several ideas are placed together without showing how they relate, for example the references to certificates, international degrees, jobs and personal growth. The final sentence stops after “that can,” leaving the travel point unfinished and disrupting the ending. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate benefit and disadvantage paragraphs, and a conclusion. Use linking phrases to show contrast and cause, and make sure each paragraph has one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “practical,” “international,” “portfolio,” “opportunities” and “personal growth.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and employment rather than relying only on very basic words. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make parts of the message difficult to understand: “stronge,” “fainancial,” “logistics challanges,” and “there own business.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “a good impact on your documents” and “effect your patch and choices.” Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the “financial and logistical challenges,” and explain more precisely how a qualification may strengthen a graduate’s employment prospects.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with a few attempts to join ideas using “because” and “so.” This gives you a basic way to express benefits and drawbacks, but there is little variety in sentence structure, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, the opening is not a complete, well-formed sentence, while “they skills are so helpfull” and “Graduate with international degree can we helpfull” have problems with sentence structure and verb forms. There are also errors in agreement and articles, as in “these are costly” when the reference is unclear and “Graduate from international universty.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries are inconsistent, with several ideas run together. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine them accurately using clauses such as “although” or “because.”
