Student answer (Band 5.0)
Education plays a vital role in our life. People think that university should add a course which is in aboard. In my opinion, going abroad is a great idea or opportunity for a students to develop their skills.
Although studying abroad has some demerits, i believe that it's merits would outweigh the demerits.
Education make us an independent person and teaches us skills so that we can do something for the betterment of our country. Student life is called the seed time. Because it is the perfect time to learn the new or require skills for future. Studying aboard is one of the best way to develop such skills. By staying a specific amount of time in another country will give us many information and knowledge. Also we can learn adouptation and experience new environment. Furthermore, we can interact with new people and know about new culture.
Studying in aboard has some disadvantages too. As it is a expersive process, many limited income family can't affort to send their children to abroad. Moreover, they will think , it will be great to work rather study. It is not only costly but also require time.
In conclusion, it is a best idea to establish a skilled generation. But it is difficult for lower class people. If the government provide a fund for needy students, then

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant opinion that the benefits of studying abroad outweigh its drawbacks, and you mention useful points such as developing skills, experiencing another culture, and the cost to families with limited incomes. However, the task asks about studying abroad or completing a work placement, and your response focuses almost entirely on studying abroad. The advantages are listed rather than explained with specific examples, while the disadvantages receive only brief treatment. The conclusion is also unfinished: “If the government provide a fund for needy students, then” leaves your final recommendation incomplete. The response is below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can develop and support your position. Extend the discussion with a concrete example and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Although,” “Furthermore,” and “Moreover” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the point about education benefiting the country shifts quickly to student life and then to studying abroad without showing the connections. Some transitions are mechanical, and “Because it is the perfect time…” is separated from the sentence it explains. The final paragraph ends abruptly, so the overall argument does not reach a complete resolution. Group related points more clearly, connect each example to your main position, and finish the conclusion with a complete sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “develop their skills,” “limited income,” “experience new environment,” and “new culture.” These choices make your main ideas understandable, but the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural. For example, “a course which is in aboard” does not clearly express a period of study abroad, and “many information and knowledge” is not a natural phrase. Spelling errors such as “expersive,” “affort,” and “adouptation” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for education, employment placements, and financial barriers, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including the concessive opening “Although studying abroad has some demerits” and the conditional “If the government provide a fund…”. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. Examples include “Education make us an independent person,” “a students,” and “By staying a specific amount of time in another country will give us…,” where agreement, articles, and sentence construction need correction. The conditional in the conclusion is also incomplete, and punctuation is sometimes awkward, as in “They will think , it will be great…”. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
