Student answer (Band 6.0)
Education is an essential factor in building a good society. However, it is argued that all the universities which provide undergraduate courses should include a period of time spend studying abroad or doing a work placements.
I believe that addition of this internship activity in the undergraduate course is significant for the development of an individual. Doing internship abroad or spending time on studying abroad will give the exposure to the students. Additionally, they can explore new technologies which their universities doesn't have and they will also gain some knowledge in pursuing higher studies there. Nevertheless, working as an intern in some company enhance student's problem solving skill and multitasking skill. However, the students can visualize the idea about working in a company near future. Both of this creates crucial space for students to decide their future career.
On the other hand, studying abroad and working as a intern in a company have several difficulties and setbacks. When we are going abroad for studies, some times we may feel isolated and it is very difficult to adapt to their culture. Some times we may be misguided to undesired course division. Working in industries expose us to the corporate world, there may be a lot of pollution. Meanwhile, students may also be assigned to lots of work, which may create a stress. For instance, I worked as a intern in the private company, i had been exposed to lot of chemicals and I have done so much work continuously which produce adverse effect on health but it gave me the idea about the industries.
In conclusion, eventhough extra tasks implies pressure on students, it is an essential experience for the students to decide on their future career.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: the experience is valuable despite the pressure it may create. Relevant benefits include exposure to new technologies, problem-solving practice and help choosing a career; the personal example of working with chemicals also supports the discussion of drawbacks. However, the response focuses mainly on internships, so the benefits and challenges of studying abroad receive less development. Some points, such as being “misguided to undesired course division,” are unclear, and the conclusion could state more explicitly that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation or example and keep the comparison between the two options balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. The contrast signposts “Nevertheless,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes uneven: “Additionally” introduces another benefit, while “However” then shifts to a related point without making the relationship precise. The reference in “Both of this” is also unclear, and the personal example contains several ideas in one long sequence. Use more precise links between claims and explanations, clarify pronoun references, and organise each body paragraph around a small number of developed points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “exposure,” “problem solving,” “multitasking,” “isolated” and “adverse effect,” which allows you to discuss both benefits and drawbacks. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “creates crucial space,” “undesired course division” and “visualize the idea about working.” Repetition of “students,” “working” and “skill” also limits flexibility. These issues do not prevent the main message from being understood, but more precise collocations would make the argument clearer and more natural. Build a bank of phrases for career development, cultural adjustment and workplace experience, and check that each expression fits its intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “However,” “When” and “which,” and most ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors occur across the response, particularly with articles, agreement, verb forms and plurals. For example, “the universities which provide” is an unnecessarily specific construction, “universities doesn't have” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “working as a intern” uses the wrong article. In “I had been exposed … and I have done,” the verb forms are not consistent with the past-time account. There are also punctuation and capitalisation slips, such as “i” after a comma. Review agreement and article use, and proofread tense consistency in longer sentences.
