Student answer (Band 5.0)
All university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent studying abroad or doing an internship for work placement.
I think, on few points, cause a problem for students to chose a univeristy for undegraduate courses, because it is far from the cities and students cant afford the travel expenses. Another reason is, some youngsters dont have enough funds to move in a different country to make their future bright. Furthermore, its is very difficult for some universities to find internships for each and every students, where if a student move to a new country it can phase a lot of problems like finding a accomodation, living expenses, weather etc and also the internship dont pay much and because of that students got stress and disrupted and will not going to survive in a new country.
On the other hand, there are some advantages of these, If we do a internship we can get a high paid salary jobs and also the marks of degree also included in it. those students who are exceptional and do hard work and get the best score, they get a chance to work with new companies after graduating with high paying salary and its also help students to widen up their knowledge and also improve learning and technical skills. Better opportunities will come if we do a internship like work with new peoples and we get a chance to work on projects its helps to develop our new way of thinking. Morever some universities also offers scholarships for students so its a good opportunity to gain.
To conclude, in my opinion, chosing a universtiy with different courses is hard abd riskyat the first because of financial situation, but it will get cover if you do hard work on it and also get the internship which helps you to gained more knowledge and skills. Temporary discomfort is okay to make your better future ahead, because its an only obstacle not a lifetime problem so i think it is the best thing to include in student lifestyle helps to make their future bright.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view in the conclusion: you believe the benefits justify temporary difficulties. Relevant disadvantages include travel and living costs, while the benefits include gaining skills, experience, and employment opportunities. However, the position is not consistently clear in the opening, which focuses on choosing a university rather than directly evaluating a compulsory placement or study-abroad period. Several claims are also under-developed: for example, the link between an internship and a “high paid salary” is asserted without explaining how the experience leads to better employment. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and make the comparison of advantages and disadvantages more explicit. The response contains 15 words copied from the task prompt; these are excluded from the reported length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic overall structure, with disadvantages in the first body paragraph, advantages in the second, and a concluding opinion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several separate points are joined into long, crowded sentences. The first paragraph moves from university location to affordability, then accommodation and weather, without clearly showing how each point relates to the requirement. Some connections are also unclear, such as “where if a student move to a new country.” Use one main idea per sentence, group related reasons together, and use clear references so the reader can follow how each example supports your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “travel expenses,” “living expenses,” “scholarships,” “technical skills,” and “projects.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For instance, “get a high paid salary jobs” and “widen up their knowledge” do not sound natural, while “new peoples” is an incorrect form. Spelling errors such as “univeristy,” “accomodation,” and “Morever” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the benefits and practical difficulties without relying repeatedly on “get” and “help.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response communicates its main position despite frequent grammatical errors. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “students cant afford,” “each and every students,” “if a student move,” and “students got stress”; these show problems with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. There are also errors with articles and plurals, as in “a accomodation” and “new peoples,” and the final sentence contains an unclear structure: “it is the best thing to include in student lifestyle helps to make their future bright.” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent verb forms.
