Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the main user group as full-time undergraduates (44%) and the smallest as academic staff (7%), and you note that staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction while journals attract the most dissatisfaction. These are relevant features. However, the response reports only a small part of the table: it gives opening-hours figures but does not clearly identify them as percentages or compare the other categories, including books and wi-fi. The statement that full-time postgraduates are “almost half” of undergraduates is also imprecise. The overview is unclear, and the final sentence is unfinished. The response is 134 words, below the required 150, which further limits the coverage. Include a complete overview and select several accurate comparisons from both visuals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by an overview and then details about user categories and satisfaction. This gives the reader some sense of the two visuals. However, progression is uneven: the discussion of satisfaction begins in the overview but is not developed, and the response ends abruptly with the opening-hours figures. Linking phrases such as “on the other hand” and “in contrast” are used, but some do not clearly connect the ideas that follow. Capitalisation and punctuation also make boundaries between points difficult to follow. Use separate, clearly developed paragraphs for the overview and key details, and connect comparisons directly to the data being compared.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some task-relevant vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “academic staff,” “satisfaction,” and “not satisfied,” so the topic is generally understandable. There are also attempts to express comparison, such as “majority” and “minimum percentage.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce clarity: “survay,” “negitive,” and “maximun” are noticeable, while “the portion of academic staff is with minimum percentage” is an awkward way to describe the smallest group. “Library satisfaction in vary in three different point” is also unclear. Build a more accurate range for describing proportions and satisfaction, and check spelling and natural collocations before finishing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a comparison introduced by “whereas.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships unclear. For example, “the pie chart cover” has subject–verb disagreement, while “the library satisfaction in vary” does not form a grammatical clause. The sentence beginning “In categories of library user in which majority…” is incomplete, and “library opening hours without not satisfied with 65 and 35” lacks a clear subject and verb. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and punctuation; this will make your comparisons easier to understand.
