Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the pie chart, but the analysis of the table is incomplete and ends abruptly. While you identify the categories of users and some satisfaction levels, the description of the table data is cut off mid-sentence ('Journal and wi-fi are two major things are'), which prevents a full summary of the provided information. To improve, ensure all data points are fully described and that you provide a complete overview of the trends. The initial overview is clear, but the lack of a finished conclusion or full data synthesis limits the score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete final sentence. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Overall' and 'However', but some transitions feel mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, but the abrupt ending significantly impacts the overall flow and logical development of the response. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph has a clear, finished thought and that you use a wider variety of linking words to connect your comparisons more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'illustrates', and 'depicts'. However, there are some awkward collocations and phrasing, such as 'individuals taking benefit from' (should be 'benefiting from') and 'community is occupying the same proportion'. The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing when describing data trends.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'The stats shows' (subject-verb agreement) and 'as huge proportion' (missing article). Additionally, the final sentence is incomplete, which is a significant grammatical failure. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to affect the overall quality. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, article usage, and ensure that all sentences are grammatically complete.
