The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 7.0)
Library is beneficial to every student especially in the higher education. The chart depicts the outcome for the survey of library users at a university.
Overall, the pie chart illustrates the kinds of library users the largest category is the full-time undergraduate and the least users are academic staff and distance learners. While the table shows the contentment of the people in the library.
On the other hand, library users display that the largest beneficiaries are the full-time graduates with 44 percent also the quarter of the users are the full-time postgraduates. While 16 percent of the members are the part-time graduates. The smallest portion of the library customers are the distance learner in all courses with eight percent and the academic staff with only seven percent.
Furthermore, it shows in the table how satisfied the members are 65 percent of them are happy with the library opening hours and 35 percent are not fairly satisfied while no one is not satisfied. In terms of helpfulness of staff almost 100 percent of the participants are very satisfied and only five percent is fairly satisfied.
The availability of books also records a good satisfaction to the users as it is half of the survey record very satisfied and 40 percent are fairly satisfied, and 10 percent show no satisfaction. Also, the availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi depicts that 45 percent and 48 percent is contented and 35 percent and 33 percent are quite not happy while 20 percent and 19 percent is not delighted on the survey.
