The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given chart and table suggests the result of survey of different categories of users namely full-time graduates, part-time and full-time postgraduates , distance learner and academic staffs. The data is measured in percentage(%).

The first pie-chart reveals that full-time undergraduates constituted the highest proportion among all categories of library users that is 44%. Followed by full-time postgraduate, holding almost one fourth of the proportion. Moreover, part-time postgraduates represents the moderate proportion of library users. However, distance learner and academic staff were the least amongst all other user.

The table represents that the user satisfaction. the data from the table suggests that majority of people were very satisfied with the opening hours and helpfulness of the staff of library. No individual was dissatisfied with the opening hours as well as staff's helpfulness. Furthermore, approximately half of the people expressed high satisfaction with the availability of books and journals, as well as the reliability of the Wi-Fi network. This was followed by a moderate proportion who were fairly satisfied, while 10% to 20% expressed dissatisfaction for the same service areas

Overall, it can be noticed that full-time undergraduates and post-graduates were the highest library users while the distance learners and staffs were the least users amongst all categories. Moreover, majority of people expressed that satisfaction for opening hours and staff helpfulness. However, few individual expressed dissatisfaction for availability of book, journals and wi-fi networks.
