Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task by summarizing the pie chart and the table. You have successfully identified the main features, such as the largest and smallest user groups and the satisfaction levels for various facilities. However, the report lacks a clear overview or summary paragraph that synthesizes the data effectively. While you have included the key figures, the comparison between categories could be more analytical. For instance, instead of just listing percentages, you could group the satisfaction levels to highlight trends. The inclusion of all data points is good, but ensure that the most significant features are highlighted to provide a more cohesive summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'On the other hand' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is sometimes mechanical, and the connection between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the pie chart data and the table data is abrupt. Additionally, the use of 'At the end' is not the most natural way to conclude a report; 'Finally' or 'In conclusion' would be more appropriate. Paragraphing is present, but the internal logic within the second paragraph could be improved by grouping related data more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information, such as 'illustrate', 'categories', and 'satisfied'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'outputs of a survey' is slightly unnatural; 'results of a survey' would be better. The phrase 'distance learning related to all courses' is unclear. Additionally, there are some minor errors in expression, such as 'access of reliability of wi-fi', which should be 'reliability of Wi-Fi access'. Expanding your range of reporting verbs and using more precise terminology for data comparison would help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'almost 44%' (missing 'at'), 'satisfied about' (should be 'satisfied with'), and '95% users' (missing 'of'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with capitalization, such as 'however' starting a sentence with a lowercase letter. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions when describing statistics.
