The chart and table illustrate who uses a university library and how satisfied these users are with different aspects of its services.
Looking first at the pie chart, full-time undergraduates make up the largest group of library users, accounting for 44% of the total. They are followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%, while part-time postgraduates represent a smaller share of 16%. Distance learners and academic staff form the two smallest categories, at 8% and 7% respectively.
Turning to the satisfaction table, users were generally most pleased with staff helpfulness, with 95% saying they were very satisfied and none reporting dissatisfaction. Library opening hours were also well received, with 65% very satisfied and the remaining 35% fairly satisfied. By contrast, satisfaction with the availability of journals and reliability of wifi was noticeably lower, with 20% and 19% of users respectively expressing dissatisfaction.
Overall, while undergraduates dominate the user base, staff-related services received far better feedback than resource-related ones such as journals and wifi.
