Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have identified some main features of the pie chart, the description of the table is incomplete and cuts off abruptly mid-sentence. You have not provided a clear overview or summary of the data as a whole. To improve, ensure you cover all parts of the prompt, including a clear comparison between the categories and the satisfaction levels, and provide a complete concluding summary. The current response is too brief to fully address the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organized into two paragraphs, which is appropriate for a report. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the other hand' and 'while', but the overall flow is disrupted by the abrupt ending. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'the other four type of students', which lacks precision. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are linked smoothly throughout the entire report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The range of vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and form. For example, you used 'shares' as a verb incorrectly ('students shares'), and 'reaiming' is a spelling error. Phrases like 'stands at 2nd position' and 'contributes with' are slightly unnatural in this context. To achieve a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary to describe data, such as 'account for', 'constitute', or 'represent', and ensure accurate subject-verb agreement throughout your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the report. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('students shares', 'postgraduate's shares'), incorrect pluralization ('four type of students'), and awkward phrasing ('Helpfulness of staff are the most satisfied'). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and the incomplete final sentence makes it impossible to assess your ability to use complex structures effectively. To improve, focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
