Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified and reported the main features of both the chart and the table. The overview is clear and highlights the most significant trends, such as the highest user category and the most popular library services. You have made relevant comparisons throughout the response, particularly when discussing satisfaction levels. The data is accurately represented, and the structure allows for a logical flow of information. To reach a higher band, ensure that you consistently provide a clear comparison between all categories rather than just listing percentages, although your current approach is sufficient for a solid score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs dedicated to each data source. You use a range of cohesive devices effectively, such as 'Regarding', 'Turning to', 'However', and 'On the other hand', which helps guide the reader through the information. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the user categories from the satisfaction levels. The progression of ideas is smooth, and referencing is generally clear. The use of cohesive devices is flexible and rarely feels mechanical, contributing to a coherent and well-structured report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information precisely. Phrases like 'accounted for the largest proportion', 'represented the smallest share', and 'satisfaction levels' are used accurately. There is an attempt to use less common vocabulary, and your word choice is generally appropriate for an academic report. While there are minor issues, such as 'this services' (should be 'these services') and 'dissatisfied with this service, accounting for 20%' (which is a sentence fragment), these do not impede communication. The range is adequate to allow for flexibility and precision in describing the data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures effectively. Most of your sentences are error-free, and you demonstrate good control over grammar and punctuation. There are a few minor slips, such as 'full-time undergraduate' (should be plural 'undergraduates') and the previously mentioned fragment regarding the 20% dissatisfaction rate. However, these errors are infrequent and do not cause difficulty for the reader. Your ability to handle comparative structures and percentages is strong, and the overall grammatical control is consistent throughout the response.
