Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response effectively covers all parts of the task. You have successfully identified the main features of both the chart and the table, providing a clear overview and supporting details with accurate data. The comparison between user categories and satisfaction levels is well-handled. To reach a higher band, ensure that you consistently use comparative language (e.g., 'the most significant proportion' instead of just 'the largest group') to demonstrate a more sophisticated analytical approach. The information is well-selected and relevant, meeting the requirements for a clear summary of the provided data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs that group information by category. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'while', 'followed by', and 'finally', which help the flow. However, the cohesion is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try to vary your linking phrases and ensure that transitions between sentences are smoother. For instance, the transition between the user categories and the satisfaction data could be more fluidly integrated to enhance the overall structure of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'accounted for', 'represented', and 'satisfaction level' correctly. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'In the terms of' (should be 'In terms of') and 'distance-learning student' (should be plural 'students'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning clearly, it lacks the range of less common, precise lexical items that would characterize a higher band. Focusing on more varied collocations and precise reporting verbs will help elevate your score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While most sentences are clear, there are some grammatical slips, such as 'remaining 35%' (missing 'the') and 'About library user satisfaction' (a slightly awkward introductory phrase). Punctuation is generally accurate, though some sentences could benefit from more varied structures to avoid repetitive patterns. The errors present do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more consistent control over articles and pluralization to reach the next level.
