Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, such as the largest user group and the high satisfaction rate for staff service. However, the analysis is somewhat inconsistent. For instance, the comparison between part-time and full-time postgraduates is confusingly phrased, and the description of the 'distance learning' data is inaccurate based on the provided chart. To improve, ensure you clearly state the percentages and make direct, accurate comparisons between categories. Avoid vague phrases like 'probeing further' and ensure that all data points mentioned are clearly supported by the visual information provided in the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moving further' and 'Lastly', although some transitions feel a bit mechanical or unnatural. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Afterwards, staff service was ranked high'. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and more cohesive.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'satisfaction level', and 'dissatisfied'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'tabular chart' (should be 'table'), 'minor use of library is done by' (awkward phrasing), and 'realiability' (spelling error). The phrase 'didn't pass any judgement' is also slightly informal for an academic report. Expanding your range of academic collocations and checking for spelling accuracy will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'the minor use of library is done by' (passive voice misuse), 'distance learning usage was increased by 1 % only' (incorrect tense/preposition usage), and 'more people get satisfied in helpfullness' (incorrect verb choice and spelling). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around percentages and commas. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions in descriptive writing.
