Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of both the chart and the table, providing a clear overview. You included relevant data points to support your descriptions, such as the 44% for undergraduates and the 95% satisfaction rate for staff helpfulness. However, the response is incomplete as it cuts off mid-sentence at the end. To achieve a higher band, ensure you complete your analysis of the final data points. Additionally, while you make comparisons, ensure that all data is accurately transcribed; for instance, ensure the distinction between 'very satisfied' and 'fairly satisfied' is clearly articulated to avoid confusion in your reporting.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized, with an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs focusing on the two distinct data sets. You use some cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'In terms of', and 'However' to guide the reader. However, the flow is interrupted by the incomplete ending, which affects the overall coherence. To improve, ensure that your paragraphing is consistent and that you use a wider variety of linking words to connect your sentences more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, but the abrupt conclusion prevents a fully cohesive structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'accounted for', and 'recorded'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'highest aspect user satisfied the most' and 'fairly satisfied' (when referring to the combined data). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Incorporating more varied synonyms for 'increase', 'decrease', and 'proportion' would enhance your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'while table represented' (missing article), 'Full-time undergraduate was' (should be plural), and '19% we' (incomplete sentence). These errors are noticeable but do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that articles are used correctly before nouns. Proofreading for sentence completion is essential, as the current unfinished state significantly impacts your grammatical accuracy score.
