Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have successfully identified the main features of the data, such as the highest and lowest user categories and the satisfaction levels. However, the response lacks a clear, analytical overview. While you mention that full-time undergraduates are the most frequent users, the comparison of satisfaction levels is somewhat disjointed. To reach a higher band, ensure that you group the data more logically rather than listing figures. For instance, comparing the 'very satisfied' percentages across all categories in the table would provide a more cohesive summary. The data is generally accurate, but the presentation could be more structured to highlight the most significant trends effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally awkward, such as 'Although, reliability of WIFI is 48%'. The transition between the pie chart description and the table analysis is abrupt. To improve, use a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly. The referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, the phrase 'which is lessen than' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow of the comparison. Improving the variety of your cohesive devices will help the progression of your ideas feel more natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic descriptors like 'popular user' and 'least interested'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'very satisfied type' and 'demonstrate no satisfaction'. Using more academic collocations would enhance your writing. For example, instead of saying 'noticed higher', you could use 'was significantly higher'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points, it does not demonstrate the flexibility or sophistication needed to move beyond a band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'academic staff respondents are recorded the least interested' is grammatically flawed, and 'which is lessen than' contains a word-form error. There are also issues with article usage ('the library', 'the very satisfied type') and prepositional phrases. While your meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct word forms will significantly improve the accuracy of your sentences.
