Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the breakdown of user categories and the satisfaction levels. You provided clear comparisons, such as noting that full-time undergraduates make up the largest group (44%) and that staff satisfaction with helpfulness was the highest (95%). However, the report could be improved by ensuring all data points are accurately described; for instance, your summary of the satisfaction table is slightly confusing in its phrasing regarding the 'not satisfied' category. To reach a higher band, ensure that your overview clearly synthesizes the most significant trends rather than just listing data points, and double-check the accuracy of your numerical reporting to avoid minor misinterpretations of the provided table.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Meanwhile', and 'In contrast' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical errors in sentence structure, which makes the progression feel slightly disjointed. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two distinct datasets (user categories and satisfaction levels). To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence connects smoothly to the next to enhance the overall readability of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'contribution', and 'satisfaction level'. However, there are several spelling errors ('propotion', 'statisfactory', 'undergarduate', 'recoded', 'staisfied') and some awkward collocations ('recorded significantly lower stake'). These errors occur frequently enough to occasionally distract the reader. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on accurate spelling and using more precise academic vocabulary. For example, instead of saying 'recorded the lowers contribution', you could use 'accounted for the smallest proportion'. Expanding your range of synonyms for 'recorded' or 'showed' would also help improve the sophistication of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and missing articles (e.g., 'in terms of the library users majority of them are students', 'opening hours and staff recoreded none of dissatisfied'). Some sentences are fragmented or lack necessary prepositions, which occasionally impedes the clarity of your message. To improve, pay closer attention to basic sentence construction and proofread for common errors like missing 'the' or incorrect verb forms. Focusing on producing error-free simple sentences before attempting more complex structures will help stabilize your grammar score.
