Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task by summarizing the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You successfully identified the largest and smallest user groups and highlighted the satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat descriptive rather than analytical. For instance, you list the percentages without making sufficient comparisons between the categories or linking the satisfaction data to the user groups effectively. To reach a higher band, ensure you group information logically and provide a more insightful overview that synthesizes the data rather than just reporting it sequentially.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'However' to link ideas. However, some of these transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the first category', which could be more precisely stated. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between the pie chart data and the table data could be smoother to create a more cohesive narrative.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'significant part', 'satisfaction level', and 'facilities'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'the least user of library' (should be 'the smallest group of users') and 'the largest percentage of satisfication' (should be 'highest level of satisfaction'). The repetition of 'user of library' also limits the sophistication of your writing. To improve, try to vary your vocabulary and focus on using words in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'survey conducted' (missing 'a'), 'to the use of library' (should be 'regarding library usage'), and 'as compares to' (should be 'compared to'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and pluralization (e.g., 'the largest user' instead of 'the largest group of users'). These errors do not impede communication, but they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and prepositional phrases will help improve your accuracy.
