Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully identified the main features of both the chart and the table. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data. However, there are some inaccuracies in your interpretation of the table data. For instance, you mention '5% are mediocrely content with the helpfulness of the staff', which misinterprets the data provided in the prompt. Additionally, the distinction between 'satisfied' and 'not satisfied' is slightly muddled in your description of the table. To improve, ensure that you double-check the figures against the labels to avoid misrepresenting the data, as accuracy is a key component of Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'In terms of', 'followed by', and 'while' to connect your ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two different data sets. However, some transitions could be smoother, and the flow between sentences in the final paragraph is slightly mechanical. Overall, the information is presented in a coherent manner, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow throughout the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your points clearly, using terms like 'constitute', 'proportion', and 'amenities'. There are some minor issues with word choice, such as 'mediocrely content' and 'feasibility of books', which sound unnatural in this context. While you attempt to use a variety of vocabulary, some phrasing is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary that fits the context of data reporting more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. Most of your sentences are clear and easy to understand. There are some minor grammatical errors, such as 'least satisfied the availability' (missing 'with') and 'In terms or satisfaction' (typo). Additionally, some phrasing is slightly awkward, such as 'least proportion of users(45%) with the journal availability'. Despite these occasional errors, your grammar does not impede communication, and you maintain a good level of control throughout the text.
