The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of users that are using the library at a university while, the table gives informations about people using the library and if they are satisfied with five different criteria, also in pourcentages. The results were acquired by doing a survey.

Overall, full-time undergraduate accounted for close to half of the users of the library. A quarter of the users were made of the full-time postgraduate. The part-time graduate are just under a quarter of the users while, the distance learning (taking into account all courses) and the academic staff are closely matched in users proportions. Most of the users were very happy in more than half the services surveyed. On the other hand, availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi fall short, just under the mean.

Full time-undergraduate used the most the library, sitting at 44%, while full-time postgraduate accounted for 25%. The part-time graduate accounted for 16%. The users learning their courses online made up only of 8%, closely followed by the academic staff sitting at 7%. The service that users were the most satisfied with is the helpfulness of staff at 95%. The library opening hours is at 65%. The rest of the categories are close to one another, with the availability of books at 50%, followed by the stability of the wi-fi connection at 48% and the disposal of journals at 45%.
