The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The diagram is an illustration of the outcome of survey conducted in a university's library as well as the amount of satisfaction derived from it's use.

Overall, The pie chart depicts the proportion of use by five different categories of users. It presents that full-time undergraduates are the highest users while academic staff are the smallest. In terms of satisfaction, helpfulness of staff ranked the most positive while availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi comparatively ranked the most negative.

In details, full-time undergraduates occupy almost half the pie chart by 44% followed by full-time postgraduates at 25%. Furthermore more, part-time postgraduate accounted for 16% while people who learnt from a distance made up 8%. Ultimately, academic staff being the least category made up just 7%.

Moreover, with respect to user satisfaction, staff assistance and library open hours received the highest positive ratings of 95% and 65%, respectively. It was recorded that users were very satisfied. Also availability of books received a favourable ratings with satisfied users at 50%, the fairly satisfied at 40% and not satisfied at 10%.

On the other hand, availability of journals received quite negative ratings as the number of very satisfied users is below average, 45%. It also marked 35% for fairly satisfied and 20% not satisfied. Similarly, reliability of WiFi received poor ratings with 48% very satisfied, 33% fairly satisfied and 19% not satisfied. Thus, these two are ranked the highest with negative feedback.
