The pie chart and table illustrate the outcomes of a survey of library users at a particular university.
Overall, full-time undergraduate students recorded the highest figures, while academic staff recorded the lowest figures. Furthermore, helpfulness of staff and library opening hours were the only sectors that recorded satisfied users, as well as helpfulness of staff experienced the highest level of satisfaction, whereas the availability of journals experienced a relatively low level of satisfaction.
Regarding the types of library users, full-time undergraduates accounted for the highest proportion, at 44%, followed by full-time postgraduates, at 25%. By contrast, academic staff accounted for the lowest percentage, representing just 7%.
Turning to the satisfaction levels, the helpfulness of staff recorded the highest proportions, with 95% of users being very satisfied and only 5% fairly satisfied, followed by library opening hours, at 65% and 35%, respectively. In contrast, the availability of journals recorded the highest proportion of dissatisfied users, at 20%.
