The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The pie chart gives information relating to the kinds of library users at a University which include academic staff, distance learning, part-time postgraduate, full-time postgraduate and full-time undergraduate by their percentages, while the table shows the levels of satisfaction derived by the library users from using the library.

Overall, the proportion of the different types of users visiting the library varies greatly. It happens that out of five categories of users using the library, full-time undergraduate made the record of the highest library users at the rate of 44%. This is followed by full-time postgraduate whose rate at which the library was visited was 25%, which was slightly below the proportion for the full-time undergraduate users at 19%. Meanwhile, academic staff were the least users of the library at the proportion of 7%, and distance learning made it to the fourth position at the percentage of 8%. Part-time postgraduate maintained the middle position which was at 16%.

Now, the degree of satisfaction received from the users from the five different services offered by the library differs significantly in all. 95% of users was satisfied greatly in staff helpfulness than the rest of other facilities of which those fairly satisfied were 5 and none was not satisfied. Availability of journals witnessed the lowest level of satisfaction from users out of the five at 45%. Finally, availability of books and reliability of wi-fi were the two other services that made the least satisfactory level at proportions of 50% and 48%, having those not satisfied at 10% and 19% respectively.
