Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of the data, but the presentation is often confusing. While you identify key figures, the description of the 'categories of library users' is inaccurate and difficult to follow, particularly the mention of 'farmer' and 'latter,' which do not appear in the data. The summary of satisfaction levels is better, but the lack of clarity in grouping the data makes it difficult for the reader to grasp the overall trends. To improve, ensure you accurately interpret the labels provided in the charts and focus on comparing the most significant data points rather than listing every individual percentage.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear referencing. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Additionally' and 'Moving ahead,' but they are often applied mechanically or inappropriately, such as 'Movingfurther' and 'Besidethis,' which are written as single words. The progression of ideas is disjointed, making it hard to follow the comparison between the different categories and satisfaction levels. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains several inaccuracies that impede communication. Phrases like 'the mention pie and table chart' and 'to be priece' are non-standard and confusing. There is also an issue with word formation and spelling, such as 'availablity' and the run-on words mentioned previously. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'percentage' and 'proportion,' the overall range is restricted. To reach a higher band, focus on using precise terminology to describe data trends (e.g., 'accounted for,' 'represented,' 'the majority of') and ensure correct spelling and word spacing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally make the meaning unclear. There are issues with article usage ('the maximum percentage,' 'in academic staff'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. For example, 'Only 44%was in full time undergraduate' is grammatically incomplete. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for punctuation and spacing errors would help improve the accuracy and readability of your work.
