The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrate the different categories of library, while the table provide the library user satisfaction.

Overall, the largest portion of Full-time undergraduate students is accounted for library users around 44%, whereas Academic staff and Distance learning represent the smallest portion around 7% to 8% respectively.

In term of satisfaction, the helpfulness of staff received highest rating, while the availability of journals had lowest satisfaction level.

Looking at satisfaction level, the helpfulness of staff received positive feedback, with 95% of users being very satisfied or 5% being fairly satisfied. Similarly the Library opening hours received the favorable feedback , as 65% of users being very satisfied or 35% being fairly satisfied.

In comparison, other facilities received lower ratings. The availability of books had 50% very satisfied and 40% with fairly satisfied with 10% not satisfied users.

Meanwhile, the availability of journals and reliability the wi-fi received poor feedbacks with 45% to 48% very satisfied or 35% to 33% fairly satisfied with 19% to 20% not satisfied users.

Overall, the library were viewed positively by users.
