The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Categories of library users

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Two graphs are given. The pie chart depicts the different category of library users. While the table chart illustrates the satifaction level of library users. Both graph figures are measured in percentage.

The pie chart reveals the highest number of library user are full-time undergraduates student by 44%. The second biggest proportion of the users are full-time postgraduates by 25%. However, part-time postgraduates figures are standing on the third with 16%. While the least number of library users are distance learning (all courses) with 8% and Academic staff by 7%.

The table chart illustrates the vast majority of the individual satisfaction from library because of Helpfulness of staff by 95% very satisfied and 5% are fairly satisfied. Whereas, the second group of library user are satisfied from Library opening hours by 65% very satisfied and 35% fairly satisfied. On the other hand, the satisfaction level from Availability of journals and Reliability of Wi-Fi nearly close to 50% people showed very satisfied and approximately 35% fairly satisfied. Whilst 20% users are not satisfied. In contrast to this, the availability of books showed user satisfaction level by 50% very satisfied and 40% fairly satisfied. While 10% people showed non satisfaction.

To sum up, it would be quite interesting to note that the highest user of library are Full-time graduates by 44% and the least proportion of users are Academic staff 7%. Whereas, the largest number of library satisfaction due to Helpfulness to staff with 95%.

To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing.
