Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data. However, the analysis of the table is slightly underdeveloped. While you list the percentages, you do not make sufficient comparisons between the categories (e.g., comparing the satisfaction levels of different groups or highlighting the most/least significant differences). To reach a higher band, ensure that you not only report the data but also synthesize it by drawing meaningful comparisons between the different satisfaction metrics provided in the table.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. For instance, the transition between the data points in the second body paragraph feels like a list rather than a cohesive analysis. To improve, try to vary your linking phrases and ensure that the progression of ideas feels more natural and less repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'accounted for', and 'availability'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'fairly satisfied users with this act' and '40 percent people'. Additionally, there is a spelling error ('leaners' instead of 'learners') and some repetitive phrasing. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your collocations are natural, such as using 'proportion' instead of 'percentage' when discussing data segments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'the most of the users' (should be 'most users') and 'the least percentage showed the academic staff' (which is slightly awkward). Punctuation is generally clear, but there are minor issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article consistency will help improve your accuracy.
