The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The pie chart provides information about the results of a survey of library users, while the table compares the satisfaction among users at a university.

Overall, the proportion of full-time undergraduate users accounted for the largest proportion, whereas academic staff costituted the smallest percentage. In addition, most of the users were satisfied with helpfulness of staff, although their satisfaction were relatively low in availability of journals.

In terms of the pie chart, the figure for full-time undergraduate users accounted for almost half of that chart, with 44%, which was by far the highest percentage compared with other categories. This was followed by full-time postgraduate, which stood at a quarter. By contrast, academic staff made up only 7%. Meanwhile, part-time postgraduate users were higher than those for distance learning users, with 16% and 8%.

According to the table, most of the users were satisfied for library opening hours and helpfulness of staff, their satisfaction was 65% and 95%, respectively. Nevertheless, library users were not satisfied with the availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi, with 20% and 19%.
