Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have successfully identified the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data. However, the report could be improved by making more direct comparisons between the categories rather than just listing the data. For instance, noting that 'helpfulness of staff' received the highest satisfaction rating while 'availability of journals' was the most problematic area would provide a more analytical approach. The data is generally accurate, though the phrasing 'availability of journals represented as the substantial points of not satisfied' is slightly awkward and could be more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Regarding', 'Turning to', and 'In addition' to transition between ideas. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. For example, the final paragraph contains a series of short, choppy sentences that could be better linked to improve the overall cohesion of the summary.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly. You use terms like 'significant', 'segment', and 'accounted for' appropriately. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'availability of journals are highest which are not satisfied' and 'substantial points of not satisfied'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your report. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations when describing statistical data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('availability of journals are highest') and awkward phrasing ('zero percent of not satisfied users which are library opening hours'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but some sentences are slightly fragmented. Increasing your control over complex sentence structures and ensuring grammatical consistency will help improve your score in this criterion.
