The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie chart illustrates the distribution of users of university’s library. The table below provides information about visitors’ satisfaction.

Overall, full-time undergraduate had the largest proportion, while academic staff had the lowest percentage. In terms of users’ satisfaction, helpfulness of staff was noted as the most satisfied category, while the lowest percentage of people was very satisfied with the availability of journals.

Full-time undergraduates were the category with the highest percentage – at 44%. Full-time postgraduate numbered a quarter of all visitors. Part-time postgraduate accounted for 16%, while distance learning students made up a half of this percentage. Academic staff was the least frequent library user – at 7%.

In terms of library user satisfaction, the vast majority of visitors were very satisfied with helpfulness of library workers – at 95%, and only 5% were fairly satisfied. There were not users, unsatisfied with library working hours – 65% were very satisfied and 35% fairly satisfied. The availability of books satisfied only a half of respondents, while 40% were fairly satisfied and 10% were unsatisfied. The availability of books was the category with the largest percentage of users, who were not satisfied – at 20%, with 45% of very satisfied and 35% of fairly satisfied users. The reliability of Wi-Fi was the category with second-lowest level of strong satisfaction – only 48% were experienced it, whereas 33% were quite satisfied and 19% do not experienced satisfaction.
