The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart illustrates the categories of library users, while table chart depicts the satisfaction of library users at a university.
Overall, it is evident that the library attracted the most full-time undergraduate students, whereas the least users were from distance learning (all courses). Library opening hours and helpfulness of staff had very satisfied users, whereas not satisfied users were the least in all facilities.
Full-undergraduate had the highest proportion 44%. This was followed by full-time postgraduate, accounted for one-quarter of the users. In comparison, part-time postgraduate consisted 16% which was almost double to distance learning (all courses), at 8%. Meanwhile, academic staff had the lowest figure, made up only 7%.
Turning to the table, library users were overall very satisfied from library facilities, while the not satisfied users were the least. In comparison, fairly satisfied users were almost the same in all facilities (35%-40%), except helpfulness of staff had only 5%.
