Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task by summarizing the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You successfully identified the highest and lowest proportions in the user categories and highlighted key satisfaction trends. However, the analysis of the table is slightly disjointed. For instance, the description of 'not satisfaction' (dissatisfaction) is a bit confusingly phrased, and the comparison between the categories could be more precise. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly linked to their respective categories and that the terminology used to describe the data (e.g., 'not satisfaction') is accurate and professional.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs for the chart and table respectively. Cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'Whereas', and 'Followed by' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Table represented the satisfaction level...' which lacks a proper article. Additionally, the referencing within the second body paragraph is occasionally unclear, making the flow of information slightly repetitive. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'constituted', and 'satisfaction level'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'showed up by' and 'made up the 45% of very satisfaction'. The phrase 'not satisfaction' is also non-standard; 'dissatisfaction' or 'unsatisfied' would be more appropriate. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the meaning, it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher band scores. Focusing on accurate collocations and more varied reporting verbs will help improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('Table represented', 'full-time undergraduate's library'), subject-verb agreement issues, and awkward sentence construction ('only one user showed the lowest percentage of fairly satisfaction'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, pay closer attention to article usage, pluralization, and the correct formation of noun phrases. Increasing the variety of error-free complex sentences will also be beneficial.
