The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The pie chart illustrates the distribution of library users at university, while table presents their level of satisfaction with various facilities of library services.

Overall, full time undergraduate made up the highest proportion of library users, while academic staff accounted for the smallest ratio. In terms of satisfaction, library staff received the most positive feedback, whereas availability of books, journals and reliability of wifi had comparatively lower satisfaction.

Looking first at the distribution of users, full time undergraduate accounted for the largest proportion at 44%, while full time graduate were the second largest group, accounting for 25% of users, part time postgraduate made up further 16%, while distance learners and academic staff accounted for 8% and 7% respectively.

In terms of library users satisfaction, library staff had the most positive feedback, with 95% of users being satisfied, whereas 65% of users were satisfied with library opening timetable. The figures for the availability of books and journals were similar, at 50% and 45% respectively, while reliability of wifi stood at only 48% satisfied users.
