The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie-chart illustrates the information about the distribution of library users at a university, while the table represents the user's satisfaction with the aspects of library services.

Overall, full time undergraduate were the largest group of library , while academic staff represented the smallest proportion. Staff helpfulness and the library opening hours received the highest level of user satisfaction.

The categories of library users , full time undergraduate represented the largest proportion user with accounting 44% of all the users.This was followed by the full-time users postgraduates at 25%. Whereas the academic staff and distance learning represents the smallest proportion of users with 7% and 8% respectively.

Turning to the survey results, the helpfulness of the staff received highest level of satisfaction with 95% of respondents being very satisfied and the remaining 5% fairly satisfied. Similarly, 65% of the users were satisfied with the opening hours of the library and the rest 35% of the users were fairly satisfied, while none reported the dissatisfaction. The availability of books also received positive feedback, with 50% of the respondents being satisfied and 40% fairly satisfied. In comparison. the availability of the journals and the reliability of Wi-Fi recorded highest percentage of dissatisfaction of users at 20% and 19% respectively.
