Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the data, but the presentation is inconsistent. While you identify the primary categories of users, the description of the table data is confusing. For example, phrases like 'unsatisfied was double double' and 'just leber half' are unclear and fail to accurately report the specific figures provided in the table. The overview is also somewhat weak, as it focuses on the methodology rather than summarizing the key trends. To improve, ensure you clearly link the specific percentages to the categories and service areas, avoiding vague or repetitive descriptions that obscure the data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. For instance, 'On the probing further' is an unnatural transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which category or service is being discussed. The flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors, which hinders the logical progression of ideas. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate. You frequently use incorrect terminology, such as 'calibrated into percentile' instead of 'expressed as percentages' and 'quatar' (spelling error). The phrase 'just leber' is unclear and appears to be a misspelling or misuse of 'little over'. There is a lack of variety in reporting verbs and descriptive language. To improve, practice using precise vocabulary for data reporting, such as 'proportion', 'segment', 'majority', and 'minority', and ensure you check the spelling of basic terms like 'quarter'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the response that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('The maximum library user... are minimum'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures ('The user was from Academic staff was 7 percent'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors in word order or preposition use. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you use articles correctly before nouns.
