The chart and table below show the results of a survey of library users at a university.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart depicts the percentage of categories of library users and the table illustrates the library user satisfaction in form of percentages.
Most of the library users are full-time undergraduate students.
Almost everyone is very satisfied with the helpfulness of staff. Availability of journals and reliability of wi-fi are the two most under satisfied categories.
Full-time undergraduate students accounted for the largest proportion of library users, at 44 percent. 41 percentage of users are postgraduate students in which 25 percentage are full time and 16 percent are part time totalling to 41. Library is least used by academic staff and distance learning students, 7 and 8 percent respectively.
In the field of helpfulness of staff, the satisfaction of customers is the best, 95 percent very satisfied and other also fairly satisfied leaving no unsatisfied customer. Library opening hours and availability of books are fairly jobs well done to the satisfaction with very less to none percent of not satisfied customers. Availability of journals being the least satisfied field with 20 percent of users not satisfied and reliability of wifi recorded for the second highest percentage of users unsatisfied, at 19 percent.
