Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have successfully identified the main features of both the chart and the table, providing a clear overview. However, there are significant inaccuracies in your reporting of the data. For example, you state that 'no one is satisfied from library opening hours and helpfulness of staff,' which contradicts the provided table data. Additionally, your description of the user categories is somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that your data interpretation is precise and that you avoid contradictory statements. While you have covered all parts of the task, the lack of accuracy in reporting the figures limits the effectiveness of your summary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore,' 'However,' and 'Overall' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'At the fleeting glance' and 'Moving ahead.' The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that transitions logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion,' 'illustrates,' and 'satisfaction.' However, there are several issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'satisfied from' (should be 'satisfied with') and 'very few proportion' (should be 'a very small proportion'). Some phrasing is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of 'spend time in library.' To achieve a higher score, work on using more precise collocations and avoid repeating the same phrases throughout the response. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For instance, there are issues with article usage ('in library' instead of 'in the library'), preposition errors ('satisfied from' instead of 'satisfied with'), and subject-verb agreement. While your meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the text from being considered error-free. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, specifically articles and prepositions, and try to vary your sentence structure by using more complex clauses correctly.
